Explore principal tracks →Advanced endorsements and graduate pathways for superintendent and central-office work.
Explore district tracks →Compare Ed.D and Ph.D pathways focused on educational policy, research, and leadership practice.
Explore doctoral tracks →Title II HEA reporting across all 51 jurisdictions still anchors every preparation claim on this site. Use those published benchmarks. We do not invent pass rates.
An M.Ed. or EdD title is not a principal license. We separate graduate pathways from the state administrative credential checklist so you do not confuse marketing language with eligibility.
Pass rates come from Title II State Reports exactly as filed. Rates based on fewer than ten test takers are shown as not reported, never as zero.
We do not publish “best EdD” lists or proprietary scores. When lists are sorted, they use a single published data column, not hand-picked favorites.
A graduate degree title is not a principal license. We publish the master’s-and-above ladder and keep licensure on its own checklist.

Read how to become a principal for the national sequence, then open the principal checklist for the state where you will hold the building credential.
Classroom certification pages stay published as supporting geography. The conversion surface is master’s-and-above educational leadership and principal credentials.
